Leonard Cohen, flame dear,

Give me your danger
Your simple eye and word
So I may have the courage
To write the beautiful bore
The helpless mother-terror
Each day of my slow burn.

“To write the beautiful boredom” … I love this turn of phrase and, even, find it inspiring, something to remind myself whenever I think that I have nothing to say that others will find worth hearing. “Very well, then allow to share with you some beautiful boredom.”

Thanks, Bill. Earlier today I realized I wanted to change “boredom” to “bore” for the added layers. I’m glad you like it, and hope the little edit didn’t ruin it for you. : )
